About Tri-County Amateur Radio Association

The Tri-County Amateur Radio Association is a general interest club intended to serve the needs of amateur radio enthusiasts in parts of Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. We are the oldest Amateur radio club west of the Mississippi, dating back to 1927 and even before. Membership is open to all licensed hams as well as those interested in becoming hams.

Our members have interests including service events, emergency communications, HF, VHF, UHF operation, digital and satellite communications, contesting, radio project construction and more. We support a Volunteer Examiner Team that does testing for all levels of Amateur Radio licensing.

Our goal is to provide amateurs with opportunities for service, education and fellowship, as well as helping to advance the capabilities of our members.

Our general meeting is at the Brackett Field Pilots Lounge in La Verne, CA. at 7:30 PM on the second Wednesday of each month. VE licensing exams are at the same location on the last Saturday of each month except December.
