Dissolution of Tri County Amateur Radio Association.

It is with deep regret and sadness that we have been forced to dissolve TCARA

Due to general lack of participation, the inability to seat a full slate of board members and some issues concerning California’s Franchise Tax Board TCARA has been forced to dissolve as of December 2021.

A skeleton slate of officers will remain to deal with the business side of the dissolution.

There were serious attempts to revive this group, even an attempt to merge with another Amateur Radio Club but with a Global Pandemic and finally some business/legal filing missteps it was determined Dissolution was the only option.

This left the monthly VE test sessions in limbo needing the support and insurance of an ARRL affiliated Radio Club, another local active group gotahams.com did step in to assume that role, which will allow Frank Westphal K6FW and his team to resume testing when Bracket Field pilots lounge re-opens, or they can find a suitable local venue to host VE sessions.

Many members in search of a local ham radio community have been exploring GOTAhams, they do monthly “in the Park” Activities, Host a hospitality booth at the Claremont Radio swap meet, do monthly “hybrid” (in person and virtual) meetings and have been collaborating with some southern California radio related groups.

Much of the content on this website will be transferred to gotahams.com for legacy purposes.

We would like to Thank those of you who so supportive through the many years. ’73 K6AGF
